Sewa Mission Society Chandigarh donates two more E- Rickshaws to PGIMER

Chandigarh, March 9, 2022: The Sewa Mission Society Chandigarh donated two more E- Rickshaws to PGIMER Chandigarh today.

Four e-rickshaws being donated earlier and already in use in the institute, the Sewa Mission Society Chandigarh has donated six number of e-rickshaws in all till date to PGIMER for easy accessibility and free transportation of poor patients within the PGIMER campus.

On the occasion Priya jain, President and Punam Bhandari, Vice President and Tatiksha Jain from Sewa Mission Society handed over the keys to Prof. Surjit Singh, Director PGIMER Chandigarh. Prof Vipin Koushal, Medical superintendent and Head Dept of Hospital Administration and Dr Raman Sharma, Department of Hospital Administration were also present during the occasion.

Expressing his gratitude to Sewa Mission Society Chandigarh for their generous endeavour, Prof. Surjit Singh, Director PGIMER stated, “These e-rickshaws will further strengthen the connectivity of all the blocks of the institute and will be a big relief for patients as well as their attendants who have to move from one to another block for their wards. It is worth mentioning that required drivers and expenses to run these e-rickshaws will also be borne by the Sewa Mission Society itself. Besides this, the Sewa Mission Society is also actively involved for providing financial support to needy and poor patients.
