“Ideathon 2022 Next Big Innovation” held at CGC Landran

Mohali, February 26, 2022: ACIC RISE Association, Chandigarh Engineering College, Landran, Mohali organized a National level event “Ideathon 2022 Next Big Innovation”. The event was exclusively designed for the students in order to nurture curiosity and provide a platform for young Ideas to be explored was inaugurated by Sunil Chawla, DGM, Punjab Infotech Mohali, motivated the participants to come up with more ideas and to avail the benefit of incubators to develop their ideas into successful ventures. The event saw a huge response through entries from 150+ teams from different parts of the country.
The first round shortlisted 52 teams, who pitched their innovative ideas to the panel of experts on the online platform. Based upon the initial pitching and the creation of the Business model canvas 30 teams were selected for the final round of pitching. Salil Kaplesh & Dimple Bansal, from Startup Punjab also joined the event.
The valedictory ceremony was presided over by Dr. Narinder Singh Jasal, Principal Scientist, CSIO & Principal ISTC, wherein he also made the students aware of the PRISM scheme for startups. The event concluded with the prize distribution with the 1st Prize a Laptop being won by the Team ECO UK Team Leader Vivek Chamoli, From Graphic Era Deemed to be University, Dehradun. 2nd Prize: Tablet was given away to the Team Alliance, Team Leader Yogesh Kapila from Chandigarh Group of Colleges, Landran, and the 3rd Prize a Smart Phone was taken away by Team The Falcon Team Leader Sunil Kumar from IndoSwiss Training College Chandigarh. Besides these 15 smartwatches were also given away as a consolation prize.
