Chandigarh Group of Colleges, Jhanjeri Campus organized Hackathon

Mohali, 18 April, 2022: CGC Jhanjeri conducted Hackathon in offline mode at its campus and short-listed teams for the Smart India Hackathon 2022. Dr. Adarsh Pal Vig Chairman, Punjab Pollution Control Board was Chief Guest at the moment Puneet Mahajan Sales Head VIVO Punjab, Gurmeet Sharma Chief Operating Officer EESPL and Sunny Kumar Founder and CEO Chandigarh Institute of Drones were Guests of Honor. The event started with Lamp Lighting Ceremony.

As many as 20 teams participated in the event. The participating teams were divided into two groups Hardware and Software. The competition venue for the Hardware groups was the Workshop where they demonstrated the working of their hardware-based projects to the judges. The projects they came up with were full of innovative ideas from students with the goal of creating a functioning product or Prototype. Out of 20, 10 teams are shortlisted to represent CGC Jhanjeri at the National Level SIH 2022. Top 5 teams namely Techy Satan’s, Thunder Riders, CJB, Panthers, AS Coders were honoured by VIVO with gifts

The winning teams were also awarded with the certificates and rest of the teams were awarded with participation certificates by Chief Guest, Dr. Adarsh Pal Vig. Congratulating the winners of Hackathon, Rashpal Singh Dhaliwal, President of CGC said that at CGC Jhanjeri we encourage new and innovative ideas and to promote innovative thinking and entrepreneur mindset in young students such events will be organized in the forthcoming too.
