Rama-Eesh Charitable Trust donates Rs. 10 lacs to PGIMER’s Poor Patients Welfare Fund2 min read
Chandigarh, March 21, 2022: Rama eesh Charitable Trust a well-known Philanthropic Organisation, dedicated to the cause of poor and destitute patients, showcased another exemplary generous gesture and lent a helping hand to the needy patients as the Trust donated an amount of Rs.10,000,00/- (Rupees Ten Lakhs only) for the Poor Patient Welfare Fund of PGIMER.
Lauding their benevolent act of Rama-eesh Charitable Trust, Prof. Surjit Singh, Director PGIMER, stated, “There is nothing more humane and magnanimous than making an effort to alleviate the pain and misery from others’ lives. The donation does not mean only financial help for the needy, it also means hand-holding, giving them hope in their pain, and sustaining their faith. These deeds of goodness are extremely inspiring and reiterate our faith in humanity.”
Prof. Vipin Koushal Medical Superintendent & Head, Department of Hospital Administration, PGIMER commended the gesture as he stated, “Any donation, no matter how big or small shows a willingness to help those who are in need. The caring support of The Trust means so much and will definitely make a difference in the lives of many deprived patients.”
The donations are accepted either through cheque (in favour of Director PGIMER) or Demand Draft at the poor patient cell near the Main Reception, Nehru Hospital under section 80G of the income tax act. Institute has also started the facility of online donations on the Institute website- pgimer.edu.in. After making a donation directly to the PGIs Poor Patient Fund account, the person can download a receipt too. The donors need not physically come to the poor patient cell of PGIMER to donate.
PGIMER appeals to the public to generously donate for this fund so that the poor patients are provided with super specialty health care.
