GGDSD college hosts AI, IoT, and smart vision workshop

Chandigarh, September 11, 2025: GGDSD College in Chandigarh on Thursday hosted a technical workshop on AI, IoT, and Smart Vision, bringing in industry expert Rohit Khosla to share his insights. The event was organized by the postgraduate department of computer science and applications under the PM-USHA Scheme.

Khosla, a seasoned professional with over two decades of experience and director of The Core Systems, led the session. He has an impressive background, having contributed to projects for NASA and the Indian Air Force, as well as developing AI solutions for smart cities.

During the workshop, Khosla gave a hands-on demonstration, showing participants how to use Python, OpenCV, and TensorFlow for real-time camera integration. He emphasized how these AI-powered technologies are revolutionizing industries and preparing students for a future driven by intelligent automation.

The lecture was held in the presence of Dr Ajay Sharma, Principal of GGDSD college with a green welcome to the speaker along with Dr Rina, Convenor of the event, with active support from the faculty and student organizers of the department. The principal highlighted the importance of such workshops in equipping students with the skills needed to lead in the technology sector. Dr Sharma also commended the efforts of the organizing team.

The workshop concluded with a vote of thanks from Dr Rina, the head of the computer science department.
