Dr. Ambedkar Institute of Hotel Management, Chandigarh celebrates 32nd Annual Day

Chandigarh, March 30, 2022: A rainbow of cultures unfurled on the stage of the institute’s auditorium as Dr. Ambedkar Institute of Hotel Management, Chandigarh celebrated their 32nd Annual Day on 30th March, 2022 honouring the 75 years of Independence: “Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav.”

The occasion was graced with the presence of honourable Chief Guest Nitin Kumar Yadav, IAS, Home Secretary, Chandigarh Administration and Guest of Honour Hargunjit Kaur, IAS, Director Tourism, Chandigarh Administration.

The programme started with the lighting of the lamp by the honourable Chief Guest, Guest of Honour along with Principal of the institute, Sitesh Srivastav followed by harmonising Saraswati Vandana. The Principal presented the Institute’s Annual Report mentioning the great accomplishments of the college in the academic session 2021-2022. He also appreciated student’s participation as well as contribution in various curricular and co-curricular activities. The event continued as the AIHM Band took everyone on an acoustic journey through various cultures, portraying that we may be diverse, but our diversity is our strength. Tinsel on the top was the release of 24th Issue of “Gourmet’s Affair”, Annual College Magazine by the Guests, the Principal and the Editorial Board. Sounds of applause filled the college’s auditorium when the Award Ceremony took place. The college was proud to present its students with various awards in academic and co-curricular fields.

Our Honourable Chief Guest, Nitin Kumar Yadav, inspired students with his words of wisdom and his experiences in life. He was as delighted to be part of the evening as the institute was to have him. DETAILS OF THE AWARDS-

  2. Lady of the Year- Parineeta Pathak
  3. Gentleman of the Year- Japveer Singh
  4. Most Dedicated Student- Manvi Dubey

A beautiful evening came to an end with Vote of Thanks to honourable guests for their presence and students and teachers for smooth functioning of the event.

Everyone paid their respects by standing up for the National Anthem and later all proceeded for the Hi-Tea, which was organised by the students of institute itself; in beautiful ambience Athithi Restaurant.
