Himachal CM dedicates and lays foundation stones of 19 developmental projects of Rs. 165 crore at Lambloo

Shimla, March 19, 2022: Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur inaugurated and laid foundation stones of 19 developmental projects worth Rs. 165 crore at Lambloo in Hamirpur assembly constituency of Hamirpur district today.

While addressing a public meeting at Lambloo in the Constituency, Chief Minister announced opening of Primary Health Centre and Veterinary Hospital at Lambloo, upgradation of Veterinary dispensary Taal to Veterinary Hospital and upgradation of Government High School Pathiyan to Senior Secondary School.

He said that it was probably for the first time that developmental projects worth Rs. 165 crore were dedicated to the area in a single day. He said that Rs. 38.31 crore LWSS which was dedicated by him today, foundation stone of which was laid two year back would provide drinking water facilities to Dugha Panjali, Kallar Katocha, Kallar Purothan, Lambaloo, Bhari Bhelara, Kangroo Gasota, Bhalla Jamali Mandir and Thana Gummer villages.

Chief Minister said that Himachal Pradesh not only emerged as the frontrunner State in administering the first dose of vaccine to the eligible population, but it also stood first in providing the second dose of vaccine to the people of the State. He said that people of the country were fortunate that the Nation during this testing time was led by an able and strong leadership. He said that it was due to the motivation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi that not only indigenous vaccine was developed, but the biggest free vaccination campaign of the world was also launched in the country. He said that it was unfortunate that the Congress leaders were even politicising such a sensitive issue. He said that it was probably due to the misdeeds of the Congress leaders that the oldest political party of the country has completely lost its base throughout the country.

Jai Ram Thakur said that the main aim of the present State Government during the last four years was to ensure the socio-economic upliftment of the poor and the downtrodden. He said that all the schemes, policies and programmes of the State Government were aimed at upliftment of the persons living at the lowest ebb. He said that the very first decision of the present State Government was aimed at welfare of the old people and another at ensuring proper shelter to the abandoned cattle. He said that Rs 500 were being provided per month per cattle in Cow Sanctuaries and Gau Sadans, which now has been increased to Rs 700 per month per cow in the budget 2022-23.

Chief Minister said that wages of daily wagers was being increased by Rs 50 per day to Rs 350 per day. He said that the monthly honorarium of Anganwadi workers, Anganwadi Assistant and ASHA workers have been increased considerably. In addition to this, the honorarium of representatives of Urban Local Bodies and Panchayati Raj institutions has also been increased considerably, he added.

Jai Ram Thakur said that the State Government has decided that “Zero Billing” would be done for consumption of up to 60 units of electricity benefitting about 4.50 lakh domestic consumers. He said that cheaper electricity would also be provided at the subsidized rate of Rs.1 per unit which would benefit over 7 lakh domestic consumers consuming between 61 to 125 units. He said that the age limit for old age pension, irrespective of income, has been reduced to 60 years for all. He said that 7.50 lakh beneficiaries would now benefit from Old Age Pension Schemes and an amount of Rs. 1,300 crore would be spent on this account. He said that registration for HIMCARE would now be done throughout the year and it would be now renewable after three years.

Chief Minsiter performed inauguration of Rs. 1.78 crore link road to village Ghurar under NABARD, Rs. 85 lakh link road Tropka to Swahal under NABARD, Rs. 38.31 crore for providing household connection under Har Ghar Nal Se Jal Scheme under LWSS to Dugha Panjali, Kallar Katocha, Kallar Purothan, Lambaloo, Bhari Bhelara, Kangroo Gasota, Bhalla Jamali Mandir and Thana Gummer, Rs. 2.28 crore link road from village Baral to Dugnerhri under NABARD, Rs. 4.43 crore upgradation Sassan to Baleta Khurad road and Rs. 93 lakh PSA Oxygen Plant Capacity 800 LPM in Medical College Hamirpur.

He also laid foundation stones of 1.18 crore link road from Khaneu Pandola Dughli Nuhara, Rs. 3.17 crore helipad at polytechnic college Baru, Rs. 3.93 crore bridge over Sukhar khad to village Khatwin, Rs. 66 lakh 4 class room i.e. site development at GHS Nalanger, Rs. 22.65 crore improvement and widening of Nalti to Galora road, Rs. 6.85 crore flood protection works to Kunnah khad and various Nallah to protect the cultivated land and other property, Rs. 1.35 crore improvement and augmentation of LWSS Masyana Bajuri, Rs. 1.13 crore improvement and augmentation of LWSS Khagal Bhatwara, Rs. 85 lakh improvement of Lift Irrigation Scheme Nalti, Rs. 7.72 crore augmentation of LIS Nalti and Tikker Chalokhar, Rs. 58.73 crore Atal Adarsh Vidyalaya at Brahalari, Rs. 7.80 crore Mechanical block in Government Polytechnic Baru (Hamirpur) and Rs. 40 lakh Umapati Gau Dham Lambloo.

Chief Minister was accorded a rousing welcome on his arrival at Lambloo. Various social, cultural and political organizations honoured the Chief Minister on the occasion.

Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Minister Virender Kanwar said that the previous Congress Government did nothing for solving the problem of stray animals and providing shelter for the abandoned cattle. He thanked the Chief Minister for setting up several cow sanctuaries and Gau sadans in different parts of the State, which were providing shelter to over 20,000 abandoned cattle. He said that the census of cattle would be completed within two months which would help the Government to ensure that no one leaves their cattle to roam on roads.

MLA Hamirpur Narender Thakur, while welcoming the Chief Minister to his home constituency, thanked the Chief Minister for dedicating developmental projects worth crores of Rupees in Hamirpur constituency. He said that the BJP has again succeeded in forming the Government in four states of the country where elections were held recently. He said that the so called National Party Congress was able to win only two seats in Uttar Pradesh. He said that the State Government was adjudged as the best State in the country in effective Covid-19 management. He said that even the Prime Minister appreciated the steps taken by the Chief Minister in this direction. He also detailed various developmental demands of the area.

Mandal BJP President Ramesh Thakur and Pradhan of local Gram Panchayat Chauhan and local leader Rakesh Pathania also welcomed the Chief Minister.
